How are you? Have you been working too hard this year? Since Xmas and New Year hols are near, it looks like a good time now to start letting your hair down, sit back and relax with your loved ones.


Before I proceed with this post, let me first introduce you to Ina Alim. She's a good friend of mine from my Alma mater, Sekolah Tun Fatimah - a wonderful all-girls boarding school down south. We used to be playing in the school band together; she loved blowing the trombone, while I loved tooting the trumpet. We were also in the same class during our final year. Since our school days till today, Ina Lim is always the people person who knows how to gel us together and who loves to organize gatherings, trips and projects.That's why she is well known and well loved by her peers, juniors and the seniors alike, including myself ;)


Now, this is Ina Lim's niece who is the celebrated birthday girl:

Let's Help KAFA Integrasi Al-Insaniah - Sponsor A Child Today :)

Dear friends,

Let's help KAFA Integrasi Al-Insaniah, a partially independent school that is so full of inspiration and love yet is so scarce of means and resources. We had a chance to visit the school two months back. At a glance, it looks like just another ordinary school. But if you look closer at the surroundings, you'll then understand why it needs such help.

KAFA Integrasi Al-Insaniah is located at Lembah Subang, next to clusters of Program Perumahan Rakyat Termiskin (PPR) flats. The PPRT flats are meant to help the less fortunate families who were previously living in the squatters. The headmistress told us the families will need to pay a nominal fee of RM124/month for their flats. Many still can't even afford to pay the fee, let alone their children's education as they are still struggling with basic needs such as food, medication and clothing.

We were also told that 75 of the pupils are greatly in need of food. They most likely have one square meal for the rest of the day from the Rancangan Makanan Tambahan (RMT) or Free Food Program from the canteen. The RMT is sponsored by good Samaritans, but it is seasonal in nature. Do think of them on this rainy seasons, how are they faring in coldness and hunger? :(

Each pupil under RMT will need a budget of RM1.50 per day. So to sustain feeding 75 pupils a month, the school will need about RM113/day or RM3,375/month. Apart from RMT funding, tuition fees and teaching aids are the hardest to come by. Because of poverty, the school is often the target of robbery and theft. PC and laptop were stolen, even a metal bar to secure the cabinet was stolen and sold to buy food.

Let's extend a helping hand. The hand that gives is above the hands that takes :)

It's a great feeling in the heart to know that there's a circle of caring individuals forming a community to help this school and the PPRT community. They ran a carnival to raise fund last October. Check them out here at Help KAFA Integrasi Al-Insaniah. But there's a lot more to be done and your help no matter how big or small is really needed. Recently, a sponsorship program is launched. You can sponsor a child's education at the school for RM300/year. You can share the RM300 with your friends if you like. Read about how to make sponsorship here.

Face Painting Hawaiian-style at Mont Kiara Kuala Lumpur

Aloha!

Pehea `oe? How are you? Jolly good I hope!

It's still raining now and then over here, but that isn't bad really. The what used to be browning plants at my backyard seem to spring back with lovely green hues and Auntie Yan is loving it :)

This time, let me tell you about Lelani's birthday party that was held almost a year ago. It was a cool Hawaiian-themed party by the pool, attended by her family members and besties. I remembered eating tasty pineapple fried rice afterwards.. hehehe ;)

This is one of her besties with the hibiscus on the cheek. Hibiscus is a state flower of Hawaii. It's a symbol of royalty, believed to bring great power & respect among Hawaiian

Here's Lelani's lovely mom, Melissa. Love the lei she was wearing (a string of flowers around the neck). Auntie Yan just found out that she's a cousin to my former boss, Miss Sha. What a small world after all!

Private Birthday Bash for Amar & Amir

What you been up to?
I hope things are all okay with you. Even if they don't, just remember that "What doesn't kill you, will only make you stronger". So, hang on a lil bit; all the nasty things too shall pass...

Now, in this post, Auntie Yan would like to share about Amar & Amir. The two had a private birthday bash about a year ago. For this year, we are happy  that we'll be going again to these cutie pies' party on this coming Saturday.

There's a tiger in the house! Amar, the big brother. Momma told me that he loves fast cars and he's great at memorizing their make & models :)

This cuddly bear is Amir, the little brother. Momma said he has an exquisite culinary taste :)

Hi friend,

How are you doing? I wish you smiles and all things nice :)

It's been a while since Auntie Yan last updated this blog. On the 2nd day of Syawal, my baby daughter was unwell with chicken pox.Thank God, for about 3 weeks, Almas is all pink and healthy now. Thank you for all the well wishes and tips from our dear family, friends and supporters. We really appreciate it!

Now that I finally found some peace to write, I hope it is never too late for me to wish our dearest supporters who celebrate Eid-ul Fitri, a very Happy Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Maaf Zahir dan Batin.

In this post, I would like to share some Hari Raya photos of my lovely friends from the office. Thank you friends for inviting Auntie Yan to your division's Hari Raya open house. It was so much fun. You are such a sport and I loike big time!

Malaysian Face Painting for Harimau Malaya

Buenos días!

How are you doing lately? Hope this post finds you well and happy. 


This time, Auntie Yan would like to draw your attention to the 2nd leg of 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil Qualifying Round Two between Malaysia vs Singapore that will be held tomorrow, 28 July 2011 at Stadium Bukit Jalil.

In previous Singapura vs Malaysia match, we lost 5-3. Now at our own homeland, the Harimau Malaya (Malayan Tiger) will need to score another 2 goals to ensure that we qualify.

All the best Harimau Malaya! Let these tigers ease some tensions and suspense..hehehe..  :)

The news said that all 85,000 tickets were sold out by today. To those who will be cheering at the stadium tomorrow, don't forget to wear your Harimau Malaya jersey. It'll be wise to hop on STAR LRT to avoid traffic fiasco. All the best my fellow tigers!
